Class Preparation List

  1. Please do not eat two hours prior to the lesson.
  2. If under 32 months, or over 32 months and potty trained within 3 months - use plastic type swim diaper over regular disposable swim diaper. Better to be safe. "Here is a diaper link for you".
  3. Use the restroom prior to arrival for the lesson.
  4. Arrive at least 5 minutes before scheduled time.
  5. Bring extra dry clothes and two towels.
  6. Classes will not be cancelled due to weather, except lightning. The pool is about 90 degrees.
  7. The parent's job is to smile and show trust in the instructor. Try to keep a good schedule and routine before and after the lesson.
  8. Younger children may use their voices (crying, negotiating, etc.) to try to control the situation. This is normal, but can be more difficult for the parent than the child sometimes, so be prepared.
  9. No flotation devices, toys or goggles.
  10. The student should not be in any other water during the 10 day lesson period (two weeks).
  11. Swimming is a LIFE SKILL and it is a great gift that you can give to someone you love.
